Expert Witness & Litigation Support
Independent vehicle valuation and repair-standard opinions for counsel.
Method, Documented
Every opinion I give is built from the documents: the VIN-verified build of the vehicle, itemized adjustments, comparables that can be checked, and the carrier's own arithmetic recomputed before any of it is disputed. I document what the vehicle is worth, and a documented number is difficult to refuse.
Sometimes the carrier's number is defensible. When it is, I say so in writing. That candor is what makes the opinions I do give worth relying on.
Areas of Practice
Total loss valuation
Audit of the carrier's valuation and an independent opinion of actual cash value.
Diminished value
Inherent, repair-related and parts-related, each documented separately.
Repair quality and OEM repair procedure compliance
Post-repair inspections measured against the manufacturer's published procedures.
Estimate and claim-handling review
Line-by-line comparison of estimates and reconstruction of the claim chronology.
Appraisal clause
Service as the policyholder's named appraiser.
Towing, storage and charge disputes
Vehicle types include passenger cars and light trucks, commercial and heavy trucks, RVs, marine, motorcycles and powersports, and classic, collectible and exotic vehicles.
For Personal Injury Firms
While your client waits on the injury case, they are often out of work and without a vehicle — exactly when a low total loss or diminished value offer is hardest to refuse. A correctly valued property claim puts money in your client's hands and relieves the pressure to settle the injury case early. The work runs alongside your case without entering it: no filing, no discovery, no motion practice. Your first review is free: send the carrier's valuation report and I will tell you whether it can be improved before any fee is incurred.
How I Work
Flat fees for reports, hourly for testimony — quoted before work begins. Fee schedule available below.
Never contingent. My fee is never a percentage of any recovery. An opinion whose fee moves with the number is worth less to counsel and to a court.
No carrier panel work. CCNA does not work for insurance carriers on claim files.
No financial interest in the repair. CCNA performs no repairs, sells no parts, and takes no fee, commission or referral from any repair facility, parts supplier or calibration provider on a file it appraises.
Scope
I am not an accident reconstructionist or a biomechanical engineer, and I do not give opinions on delta-V, crash severity as it relates to injury causation, or occupant kinematics. Stating that boundary plainly is part of keeping the opinions I do give admissible.
